Our Team
CapitalGroup operates as a flat organisational structure, with each member of the team contributing their values and skillset to the growth and success of the company. We are a collective of highly experienced individuals with extensive knowledge across banking, finance, property and investment.
After graduating from Auckland University with an Economics degree, Greig worked for NZI Bank and HSBC. He later joined Countrywide Banking Corporation Limited, which led him to the Bank of Scotland's corporate division in London.
In 1996 Greig co-founded CapitalGroup with Phillip Bell. He leads investments in residential subdivisions, apartments, retail and commercial developments and is a director of First Mortgage Managers Limited. He is married with three children.
Phillip commenced his business career in 1983, with roles in commercial banking at Countrywide Bank in Auckland and investment banking with Hill Samuel in London. He has degrees in Commerce and Law from the University of Auckland.
In 1996, he co-founded CapitalGroup with Greig Allison. Phillip is involved in the origination, structuring and management of clients and transactions. He is also a director of First Mortgage Managers Limited. Phillip is married with three children.
Andrew has worked in the property and finance markets across NZ, Australia, London and Europe for over 20 years. He holds a double degree in law and commerce from the University of Canterbury. He is married with two boys.
Michael has over ten years of experience with ANZ and BNZ, sourcing finance for commercial property investors and developers. He has a double degree from the University of Auckland in Commerce and Property and has held roles with KPMG’s Corporate Finance division and a private property investment company.
After a long business relationship, Michael joined CapitalGroup in 2017 and is involved with the arrangement and management of transactions. Michael is married with a young family.
Zac holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance from the University of Otago and CFA Level 1. Following graduation he spent 10-years in finance roles with BNZ Property Finance and the real estate team at Intermediate Capital Group in London. Zac joined CapitalGroup in 2024. He is married with a young family.
David has worked across the legal, financial and property sectors in NZ in various roles as an investment banker, financial consultant, commercial lawyer and commercial broker. David is married with a young family.
